ABOUT MARTIN
Martin Fusi is a Cameroonian-born storyteller, scholar, and educator whose work bridges myth, memory, and imagination. Raised in Babanki Tungo in the North West Region of Cameroon, he draws from a rich cultural heritage to explore African history, spirituality, and identity through literature, film, and performance.
He holds a PhD in African Literature and an MA in Theatre and Media Production from the University of Hull, UK, following earlier studies in English at the University of Yaoundé. Martin has taught creative writing, acting, theatre studies, screenwriting, and film production at leading institutions, including the University of Southern California and the College of William & Mary. An accomplished screenwriter and director, he has written numerous screenplays and produced two feature films. His debut novel, Quest for Kwifon, Book One, is a sweeping work of fantasy and magical realism rooted in ancient African traditions.
Fluent in English, French, Pidgin English, and Kejom, Martin specializes in African history, languages, and cultural storytelling.
