K-POP? K-DRAMA? Travel to Korea? Gotta learn Korean 안녕하세요 (Hello in Korean) 저는 셀린이에요 (I am Celine in Korean) 반갑습니다 (Nice to meet you in Korean) Welcome to Language Academia I spent my whole live moving between LA and Seoul. I've been bilingual for my whole life. And I taught English back in Korea and now I teach Korean in here. My favorite fun phrase in Korean is fighting which we say 화이팅! (You can do it! / Let’s go!) it's funny that it’s not directly used as its original meaning. Actually it means "You can do it!” in Korean. Everybody uses this in Korean. Now we can see this word a lot in other KPOP songs, even the ones we went through already. What I teach: Korean and English for all levels Korean pop culture Korean history English and Korean accent training. One of my favorite things to teach is advanced conversational fluency. A lot of people tell me that they are masters in grammar and writing, but that it's so difficult to have a conversation in an appropriate nuance. I will help you with that. What I'm most proud about Korean culture? I think it’s that Korean language Hangul… 한글은 정말 멋진 문자예요. (Hangul is a truly amazing writing system.) 현대 언어 중에서도 (Even among modern languages) 가장 논리적인 문자라고 불리죠. (it is often called the most logical writing system.) I'm Celine.
