Welcome to Language Academia. I grew up multilingual. I grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, and it's a very international city It was always normal for me to have different cultures around different languages. The country itself has four national languages, and then it’s so easy in Europe to get a little airbus. This is what we call them. Life is about learning. Get into a completely new culture completely new language, habits. Cultures bring me alive. I find them to be the dessert of this world. ¿Te encanta la música en español? (Do you love music? in Spanish) Chaque langue (Each language in French) est une nouvelle façon (is a new way in French) de voir le monde (to see the world in French).Tienes que sentir el idioma, (You have to feel the language, in Spanish) no calcularlo (not calculate it in Spanish). What I teach Spanish all levels French all levels English fluency for actors and performers Spanish & French regional dialects Creative writing in English One of my favorite things to teach is specificity of speech depending on your characters background, because I love to see someone come alive “To" which she is really saying “todo” but she is cutting the words. My favorite phrase in French is “Je me coucherai moins bête” (I’ll go to bed less stupid in French), which means “I'll sleep less stupid” which is a testament of how you can learn anything, any day, and you will go to bed less stupid. Kayla is a trilingual actress and language coach from Geneva, Switzerland, specializing in English and Romance languages. Based in Los Angeles, she helps actors and creatives develop authentic, performance-ready language skills for film, television, and stage.
A graduate of the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, Kayla pursued specialized accent training to refine her speech and portray cosmopolitan characters, guiding students with creativity and individualized technique.
