RUSSIAN TUTOR CHRISTINA

RUSSIAN AND UKRAINIAN LANGUAGES AND CULTURE

Christina Korotich is a Los Angeles–based Russian and Ukrainian tutor, accent coach, and professional interpreter. She specializes in authentic pronunciation, Eastern European accents, and cultural nuance for actors, students, and professionals.

Are you ready to learn Russian and Ukrainian? Because I can't wait to share my languages with you. Welcome to Language Academia. (My name is Christina in Russian) (Nice to meet you in Russian) (What is your name? in Russian) I also have my own journey with Ukrainian and Russian languages. Growing up I was speaking Ukrainian at home and in school, but going to university became a challenge because all the education was ex-Soviet Union books. Ukraine still didn't publish enough of literature in Ukrainian language. I had to learn it not only to chat with people but to understand a profound scientific concept. By today I would say I have read more professional literature in Russian language, so it came to equal. Now I consider both languages very native and fluent to me. (Trapped under the ice - in Ukrainian) (I can’t find my soul - in Ukrainian) I speak Turkish, a bit of Italian and Spanish. My favorite phrase in Ukrainian is “Вода камінь точить. (Water wears away the stone in Ukrainian), which means that water wears away the stone. Persistence breaks resistance. Which is very good for you to remember in your journey of learning Eastern European languages. What I'm most proud of in Ukrainian culture is our strengths of spirit and bravery. А потом вода. (And then water in Russian) What I teach Russian and Ukrainian languages for all levels Accent correction for Russian and Ukrainian languages Eastern European accents for Film and TV Eastern European history and culture Also I teach qigong, but it's another story. Слов’янські мови не найпростіші. (Slavic languages are not the easiest.) Не буду брехати. (I won’t lie.) Але саме тому я тут для вас. (But that’s exactly why I’m here for you.) The situation is dramatic. Горят воспоминания о тебе. (The memories of you are burning in Russian) Как решит монолог твоей души (How to resolve the monologue of your soul in Russian) I would love to be a part of your Eastern European language learning journey We are Language Academia
