Accent Portfolio Development for Actors
3 Accents. 3 Months. 1 Professional Portfolio.
Build a professional accent portfolio designed to showcase your range, discipline, and casting potential.
Work one-on-one with a dialect coach to develop three accents, prepare performance material, and create coached skill clips or voice-over samples that help casting teams hear what you can do.
Designed for actors preparing for film, television, theatre, voice-over, auditions, and professional submissions.
WHY BUILD AN ACCENT PORTFOLIO?
Your Accent Work Should Be Seen and Heard
Saying you can do accents is one thing. Showing them clearly, confidently, and professionally is another.
The Accent Portfolio Program helps actors build a focused collection of accent-based performance samples that can support casting profiles, websites, reels, auditions, and long-term actor branding.
This is not just accent training. It is accent training with a final outcome.
WHAT YOU WILL DEVELOP
During the program, you will choose three accents to develop with your coach. Each accent is approached through sound, rhythm, placement, character, and performance.
Possible accent pathways include:
Final accent selection is made with your coach based on your goals, casting type, current skill level, and portfolio needs.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
A 12-week accent training package for actors who want to expand their casting range, build confidence across multiple dialects, and create accent-based skill clips for submissions, websites, reels, and casting profiles.
12-week structure
Month 1:
In the first month, you begin developing your first accent from the ground up. Your coach introduces the core sound shifts, rhythm, oral posture, placement, and common patterns that define the accent.
Week 1 — Accent Selection & Baseline
Choose your first accent, review your current speech patterns, and identify the biggest shifts needed.
Week 2 — Sound Changes & Pronunciation
Work on the major vowel and consonant changes that shape the accent.
Week 3 — Rhythm, Placement & Oral Posture
Explore how the accent lives in the mouth, jaw, tongue, lips, breath, and musicality of speech.
Week 4 — Short Text & Performance Practice
Apply the accent to short scripts, monologues, or character lines while maintaining clarity and consistency.
Month 2:
In the second month, you begin your second accent while continuing to review and strengthen the first. This stage helps you develop contrast, control, and flexibility so your accents do not blend together.
Week 5 — Accent Two
Foundation
Introduce the second accent and map its major differences from your natural speech and your first trained accent.
Week 6 — Accent
Comparison
Compare Accent One and Accent Two through sound, rhythm, placement, and speech patterns.
Week 7 — Switching
Practice
Train accent separation so you can move between accents with control and avoid blending.
Week 8 — Scene or Monologue Application
Apply both accents to short performance material and begin identifying which pieces may work for your final portfolio.
Month 3:
In the final month, you develop your third accent while refining all three accents for performance. The focus shifts from learning the accent to using it inside a scene, monologue, self-tape, or voice-over sample.
Week 9 — Accent Three Foundation
Begin your third accent and identify the most important sound, rhythm, and placement changes.
Week 10 — Portfolio Material Selection
Choose scripts, monologues, commercial copy, or voice-over material that best supports each accent.
Week 11 — Rehearsal and Accent Consistency
Rehearse final pieces while focusing on performance, emotional truth, and maintaining the accent under pressure.
Week 12 — Final Recording Preparation
Prepare coached self-tapes, skill clips, or voice-over samples and complete your final portfolio review.
