ACTING IN KOREAN - KIDS - SATURDAY 1-2PM

Class Description

Acting in Korean is a specialized class for kids aged 10–15 who are ready to take their Korean language skills to the next level—on stage and on screen. Designed for students who already have a strong conversational foundation or have completed Korean for Kids 101, 201, and 301, this course blends immersive language practice with performance training. Led by a native Korean acting coach with a background in theater, on-camera performance, and language instruction, students explore the expressive world of Korean drama and film. Each week, they rehearse real scenes from K-dramas, movies, and original scripts—focusing on pronunciation, pacing, tone, emotion, and character work—all in Korean. This class isn't about memorizing vocabulary or repeating textbook lines. It's about connecting language to emotion, culture, and context. Students learn how to deliver lines with meaning, listen and respond naturally in Korean, and adapt their body language and voice to match the tone of a scene. Through this process, they not only improve fluency but also build confidence, presence, and storytelling ability. The environment is creative, collaborative, and supportive. Students will gain experience working in pairs and groups, receive direct coaching, and have opportunities to perform for peers. Whether your child is interested in acting, already bilingual, or simply wants a challenge beyond the basics, Acting in Korean is a space where language and performance come together in exciting, meaningful ways. Classes meet once a week and follow the school-year calendar, with optional summer intensives available. Taught entirely in Korean, this course is ideal for heritage speakers, advanced learners, or motivated students ready to train like young K-drama stars.
