ABOUT DAMON

Damon Kim is a bilingual Korean-English educator and coach with experience in language instruction, interpretation, STEM tutoring, and performance-based confidence coaching. Fluent in both Korean and English, he helps students understand language clearly from both sides — explaining Korean grammar and nuance in English, and English communication patterns in Korean when needed.

His teaching experience began in South Korea, where he tutored English language and physics. At the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Damon also worked as a Korean-English interpreter, gaining close familiarity with how spoken language proficiency is assessed from beginner through advanced levels.

Damon’s approach is structured, practical, and confidence-focused. He meets each learner at their real level, designs every session around one clear goal, and helps students build fluency through repetition, low-pressure speaking practice, and specific feedback.
