Each level covers the same material as our standard nine-month program, but with the added benefit of compressed scheduling and small group sizes, so you can make the most of your summer break.

Our summer intensive program is ideal for those looking to improve their Chinese language skills quickly and efficiently. With four classes per week and a consistent schedule, you'll have plenty of opportunities to practice your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. In addition, students are paired up with a conversation partner outside of class hours to further enhance their language proficiency. And with six levels available, you can work your way up to achieving college-level, native-like fluency in no time. 6 Levels of Mandarin Chinese
Level 1: Beginner
This level is designed for those who have no prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. Students will learn basic pronunciation, tones, and pinyin, as well as basic vocabulary and sentence structures for everyday conversations.
Level 3: Pre-Intermediate
In this level, students will begin to tackle more complex grammar and vocabulary, and will develop a greater understanding of Chinese culture and society. They will also start to read and write simple Chinese characters.
Level 5: Advanced
This level is designed for students who have a solid foundation in Mandarin Chinese and are looking to refine their language skills and achieve fluency. They will work on more advanced grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and will focus on reading and writing longer texts, as well as speaking and listening in more complex settings.
Level 2: Elementary
At this level, students will continue to build their vocabulary and focus on basic grammar structures, such as sentence patterns, basic verb conjugation, and basic tenses. They will also start to learn about Chinese culture and customs.
Level 4: Intermediate
At this level, students will further refine their language skills and build more advanced vocabulary, with a focus on conversation, reading, and writing. They will also explore more specialized topics, such as Chinese history, literature, and current events.
Level 6: Upper-Advanced
At this level, students will work on mastering the finer points of Mandarin Chinese, including idioms, expressions, and advanced grammar structures. They will also work on perfecting their pronunciation and building their vocabulary in specialized fields such as business, medicine, and law. By the end of this level, students should have achieved a high level of fluency and be able to function confidently in any Mandarin-speaking setting.
